About AI Readability

Created by Textorum.

AI Readability is a free tool that measures how easily a piece of writing can be read by humans and, at the same time, parsed and reused by AI systems. Paste any English text and receive an ARS — AI Readability Score — with a grade and clear recommendations.

What AI Readability does

The checker produces a 0–100 diagnostic across four dimensions: Sentence Clarity, Structural Organization, Entity Consistency and Answer Readiness. These are the traits that shape whether a text is easy to skim, easy to segment and easy to quote — for humans and for language models alike.

Alongside the score, the checker returns a short illustrative rewrite. It is not a full edit; it exists to show how the same idea reads when it is shorter and more direct.

Why the project exists

An increasing share of readers now arrive through AI systems that summarize and quote content on behalf of humans. AI Readability was built to give writers, editors and content teams a fast, honest way to see how well their text holds up under that kind of reading — without signup, dashboards, or heavy tooling.

The project is part of Textorum, a writing environment focused on clarity, structure and answer-ready content.

Privacy approach

The scoring engine runs entirely in your browser. Your pasted text stays on your device — it is not sent to any server as part of the check. The only exception is when you explicitly click “Continue in Textorum”: that action passes the text to Textorum through the URL, because you asked to move it there.
